Thomasville Launches Bicentennial Celebration on January 24
The City of Thomasville is set to celebrate its 200th anniversary with a free, family-friendly Bicentennial Celebration on January 24, 2026. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., inviting residents and visitors to come together and honor the rich history of this vibrant community.
This milestone event promises a day filled with activities designed for all ages. Attendees can enjoy live musical performances by The Emerald Empire Band, a selection of food trucks offering diverse culinary options, and engaging activities for children. Partner organizations will also set up booths to provide additional opportunities for interaction and learning.

April Norton, the Managing Director of Marketing & Communications for the City, expressed the significance of the celebration. “This milestone is an opportunity to honor the people, stories, and traditions that make Thomasville unique, while building excitement and momentum for the future,” she stated.
