Butte County Supervisors Set to Approve $2.4 Million for Homeless Services

The Butte County Board of Supervisors is preparing to approve three contracts totaling $2,376,150 aimed at enhancing services for the homeless population. This decision is scheduled to take place during the board’s meeting on March 5, 2024. The funding for these contracts comes from the latest round of Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention grant funding.

In response to a request for proposals issued by the county, several local organizations submitted bids. After careful consideration, the board’s recommendations focus on the following contracts:

– **Jesus Provides Our Daily Bread**: $2 million for the Park Place Permanent Housing project.
– **Catalyst Domestic Violence Services**: $210,520 for the Navigation Coordination Programs.
– **True North Housing Alliance**: $165,630 for the Howard Slater Navigation Center Program.

Other organizations that submitted proposals included Youth For Change, the Oroville Southside Community Improvement Association, the Oroville Resource Center and Rescue Mission, and the Chico Housing Action Team.

The board will conduct a vote on these contracts during its upcoming meeting at 9 a.m. at the Butte County Supervisors’ chambers, located at 25 County Center Drive, Suite 205 in Oroville.
