The D.C. Council will host two significant meetings on January 20, 2024, providing the public with opportunities to participate both virtually and in person. The first meeting, the Committee of the Whole, will commence at 11 a.m., followed by a Legislative Meeting.

Public access will be facilitated via a Zoom Webinar, which requires registration through a new link for 2026. Once a quorum is confirmed, access will be restricted, according to the Council of the District of Columbia. For those who prefer alternative viewing options, the meetings will be broadcast live on the DCC Network, accessible on Channels 13 and 18. Additionally, the meetings can be streamed on the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment’s website, as well as on the Council’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel.

How to Access the Meetings

Recordings of the meetings will be uploaded to the Council’s website within one day for those unable to attend. Closed captioning will be available on both the DCC Network and the office’s website, ensuring accessibility for all viewers. Live interpretation services will also be provided for the Zoom sessions and social media broadcasts.

For individuals opting to attend in person, meetings will take place in Room 500 at the John A. Wilson Building. Registration is required, and attendees must present a confirmation email for entry.

The D.C. Council encourages public participation in these meetings, highlighting the importance of community engagement in local governance. This initiative reflects the Council’s commitment to transparency and accessibility, allowing residents to stay informed and involved in the political process.
