CLEVELAND, Ohio – Corner Alley, a popular bowling venue located on East 4th Street, has announced a partnership with Hangry Brands, which will now serve as co-owner alongside MRN Family of Companies. This collaboration aims to enhance the entertainment offerings at the venue without altering its beloved characteristics, such as the iconic bowling pins suspended from the Kresge Building.

New Developments and Refresh Plans

In a statement regarding the deal, Hangry Brands indicated that while much of Corner Alley will remain the same, plans are underway for a “necessary refresh.” Potential updates may include the introduction of an 18-hole miniature golf course, shuffleboard, and pinball machines. This strategic move aligns with Hangry Brands’ vision to expand its portfolio of dining and entertainment establishments.

Jason Beudert, founder of Hangry Brands, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “This is a natural addition to our family of restaurants and bars. From the start, we focused on the downtown sports venues and East 4th Street as the place where we wanted to locate our businesses.” The company’s existing venues include Jolene’s Honky Tonk, Society Lounge, and the upcoming Dugout Park on East 4th, along with Geraci’s Slice Shop and Lionheart Coffee just around the corner.

Corner Alley’s Role in East 4th Street

Jori Maron, CEO of the MRN Family of Companies, described Corner Alley as “a cornerstone” of the East 4th entertainment district. He noted, “We built Corner Alley on the theory that creating an active entertainment venue would be an important component to the East 4th experience. Two decades later, I can confidently say that this theory has been proven correct.” Maron emphasized the need for revitalization, stating that there is no better partner than Hangry Brands to inject new energy into the venue.

Corner Alley has been a fixture in the community since its establishment in 2006. It is ideally situated at the northeast corner of East 4th and Euclid Avenue, a vibrant pedestrian area frequented by fans attending Guardians and Cavaliers games, as well as concert-goers. The release confirmed that there are no plans to replace existing staff members, and any improvements will be made without disrupting operations.

The partnership between Hangry Brands and MRN Family of Companies signals an exciting evolution for Corner Alley, promising to enhance the entertainment experience for both locals and visitors alike.
