University of Mary Outlasts Dragons in Thrilling 96-90 Showdown

In a closely contested matchup, the University of Mary narrowly defeated the Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) Dragons 96-90 on December 16, 2023, in Bismarck, North Dakota. This loss ended the Dragons’ three-game winning streak and marked their first defeat in the NSIC (Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) this season.

Cayden Redfield led the way for the University of Mary, contributing an impressive 18 points. The Dragons, now with a record of 7-4 overall and 4-1 in the NSIC, found significant scoring from their own players as well. Dominic Gooden emerged as the standout performer for MSUM, scoring 24 points, while teammates Sam Hastreiter and Isa El-Amin each added 17 points.
