Inclement weather has prompted changes to the schedules of two wrestling tournaments featuring local teams. The Blue Ridge Conference Dual Team Tournament, originally set for March 15, 2024, will now occur on March 13, 2024, at Polk County Middle School. This event will see the East Division champion Wolverines face off against Macon Middle School, while West Division champion Bethel Middle School will compete against Flat Rock Middle School in the semifinals. The winners of these matches will then compete for the conference title.

Polk Middle School is aiming for its fourth consecutive conference championship. The change in schedule comes as local teams prepare for critical matches that could determine their standings in the regional competition.

The Western Highlands Conference Individual Tournament has also been rescheduled. This event will take place on March 14, 2024, starting at 15:00 at Madison High School. Several Wolverines are expected to enter the tournament as top seeds in their respective weight classes. Polk County hopes to secure the team title at this conference individual event for the second consecutive year.

In another significant matchup, Polk County High School is still set to host Owen on March 13, 2024, at 18:00 for its regular-season finale, providing an opportunity for the team to solidify its performance ahead of the tournament.

As the weather continues to pose challenges, local wrestling teams remain focused on their goals, preparing to compete at a high level in their respective tournaments.
