Ballerina Farm Co-Founder Reveals Daily Life with 8 Kids
UPDATE: Hannah Neeleman, co-founder of the popular Ballerina Farm, has opened up about her extraordinary daily routine, balancing life on a 328-acre farm in Utah while raising eight children. In a revealing interview, Neeleman shares how her family-oriented lifestyle and successful brand have evolved over the past eight years.
With 21 million followers across Instagram and TikTok, Neeleman documents her family’s journey on the farm, which started with just four free-range pigs in 2017. Her mission has always been about creating a meaningful legacy, where family and agriculture intertwine. She emphasizes, “We wanted a business where we could work together as a couple and involve our eight children.”
Neeleman’s mornings kick off around 7 a.m., when her toddlers climb into bed, signaling the start of a busy day. After getting her kids ready for school, she makes time for her protein-packed breakfast before managing her social media presence and farm responsibilities. “If I can get a good workout in, then my whole day is better,” she states about her commitment to personal wellness.
Tuesdays are particularly busy for Neeleman, as she dedicates her time to filming cooking tutorials for her followers. “I try to film a reel of me cooking a recipe from start to finish,” she explains. This creative outlet is essential for her, especially as she draws inspiration from the farm’s seasonal produce.
Lunch is a cherished family affair, typically enjoyed at 1 p.m. after the kids finish school. “We eat around the table together, which is something we loved from our time in Brazil,” Neeleman reflects. Dinners tend to be simpler, accommodating the family’s various schedules filled with sports and activities.
The farm has grown significantly since its inception, now employing around 100 people. Hannah and her husband, Daniel, manage this team while ensuring their children remain central to their lives. “It’s a work in progress,” she admits, but they strive for a balance that works for their family.
As the day winds down, Neeleman prioritizes family time and faith. She conducts scripture study and prayer with her children at 9 p.m. before transitioning into her work mode. “Editing fills my cup,” she describes her nighttime routine, which also includes a new skincare regimen featuring tallow-based products.
Sundays are sacred for the Neeleman family, as they try to unplug from social media and focus on their faith. “It’s a constant journey thinking about how we can put the cleanest, best products in people’s hands,” she shares about her vision for Ballerina Farm.
In a world where family farms are dwindling, Hannah Neeleman’s story of resilience and commitment to family values resonates deeply. As Ballerina Farm continues to grow, it serves not just as a livelihood, but as a source of inspiration for many seeking a simpler, more meaningful life.
Stay tuned for more updates as Hannah and Daniel work towards expanding their agritourism initiatives, aiming to educate others on self-reliance and sustainable living. This is just the beginning of their journey and their impact on the community.
