Border Patrol Chief Vows to Show Judge Violence Against ICE Agents
UPDATE: Chief Border Patrol Agent Greg Bovino is set to present shocking video evidence of violence against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to federal judge Sarah Ellis in Chicago. This urgent confrontation stems from a ruling by Ellis, an Obama appointee, who mandated daily meetings after claims arose that ICE violated her order on riot control tactics.
Just hours ago, during an interview with Fox News host Harris Faulkner, Bovino expressed his readiness to give Ellis “a very good first-hand look” at the extreme violence agents encounter while performing their duties in the city. “What she needs to see is this video,” he emphasized, referring to the chaos and threats faced during recent operations.
ICE facilities in Chicago have become battlegrounds, with intensified opposition and multiple riots targeting agents. Footage from an October 2 operation shows rioters hurling rocks and fireworks at law enforcement, creating a perilous environment for those enforcing immigration laws. During the interview, Faulkner highlighted specific incidents, including an assault where Bovino was struck by a rock and agents were targeted with fireworks.
“Over three decades, I’ve had the opportunity to interact with many judges. Each judge is different… If she wants to meet with me every day, then she is going to see just how bad things really are on the streets of Chicago,” Bovino stated.
Following the violent confrontations, which included attempts to obstruct ICE operations, Bovino shared alarming details about a $10,000 bounty placed on his head by gang member Juan Espinoza Martinez of the Latin Kings. This escalating threat highlights the risks faced by agents in their line of work. “What you see in that video, that’s reality,” he asserted, underscoring the severity of the situation.
As tensions rise, the public and officials are urged to watch for the upcoming presentations of evidence to Judge Ellis, which may significantly impact ongoing policies and operations in the region. The footage promises to shed light not only on the physical dangers but also on the broader implications for law enforcement in Chicago.
This developing story underscores the urgent need for dialogue and action regarding the safety of ICE agents as they fulfill their duties amid growing opposition. Stay tuned for more updates as this situation unfolds.
