BTS and BLACKPINK Clash for Top Singer Ranking in 2023
BREAKING: The latest brand reputation rankings are in, and BTS has secured the top spot, surpassing BLACKPINK in a fierce competition that reflects their global appeal. This urgent update comes as both groups continue to dominate the music scene in 2023.
According to data released by the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, BTS achieved a remarkable brand reputation index of 7,409,314, marking an increase of 8.81% from 6,809,220 in December. The numbers reveal BTS’s overwhelming popularity, with a participation index of 261,097, media index of 927,857, communication index of 2,545,645, and community index of 3,674,716.
In a close second, BLACKPINK recorded a brand reputation index of 6,213,487, a staggering increase of 76.65% from their December figure of 3,517,427. Their participation index was 148,866, with media at 545,540, communication index at 2,325,330, and community index at 3,193,750.
Lim Young Woong claimed third place with a brand reputation index of 5,231,902, reflecting a decrease of 13.60% from 6,055,100 in December. The breakdown shows a participation index of 881,305, media index of 1,528,397, communication index of 1,620,725, and community index of 1,201,475.
Director Gu Chang Hwan, of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, stated, “BTS’s recent announcement of a full-group comeback with a world tour has solidified their top position. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK left a significant impact with their pink-themed world tour, securing their second place.”
In addition to these leading groups, Hwasa and IVE are also making headlines, with Hwasa topping domestic music charts and IVE preparing for a comeback in February.
