This ranking places Georgia firmly among the elite as the 2025 season approaches, highlighting their strong potential for success.

In his third season, Coach Wes Johnson aims to build on last year’s impressive 43-17 record, where the Bulldogs exited in the NCAA regional held in Athens. Georgia is one of seven Southeastern Conference (SEC) teams in the top 15, with LSU leading the pack at No. 1.

The top five rankings are as follows:
1. LSU
2. UCLA
3. Texas
4. Georgia Tech
5. Arkansas

The Bulldogs are not just competing with the best in the SEC; they are facing stiff competition from other ranked teams including No. 6 Mississippi State, No. 9 Auburn, No. 15 Tennessee, No. 16 Florida, and No. 18 Vanderbilt.

Georgia’s strong performance in various polls is underscored by their rankings: No. 6 in the Baseball America preseason poll, No. 15 in D1Baseball, and No. 15 by Perfect Game. This consistent recognition reflects their robust roster and competitive spirit heading into the season.

As the Bulldogs prepare for opening day on February 13 against Wright State, they return key players including infielders Kolby Branch and Tre Phelps, along with catcher Daniel Jackson. The team has also strengthened its lineup by adding transfer pitchers Joey Volchko from Stanford, Dylan Vigue from Michigan, and newcomer Kenny Ishikawa.

With the season kick-off just around the corner, the anticipation is palpable among fans and players alike. The Bulldogs are poised for a thrilling season, and their top 15 ranking sets the stage for what promises to be a competitive year in college baseball.
