K-Pop Ships Surge on AO3: Stray Kids’ MinSung Tops 2025 List

UPDATE: The latest rankings from the fanworks site Archive Of Our Own (AO3) have just revealed the most popular K-Pop ships for 2025, igniting excitement among fans worldwide. Stray Kids’ dynamic duo of Han and Lee Know (also known as MinSung) has officially topped the list, generating an impressive 5,341 new works this year alone.

This year’s rankings have seen significant shifts, with Stray Kids soaring from 19th to 12th overall, accumulating a staggering 123,778 fanworks in total. The enthusiasm surrounding these pairings showcases the ever-growing interest in K-Pop fandoms, particularly as new pairings break into the top ranks.

The K-Pop ship featuring ATEEZ’s Yunho and Mingi (YunGi) made a remarkable comeback, ranking seventh among K-Pop ships and 100th overall with 1,492 new works, bringing their total to 5,686 fan creations. This pair did not make the top 100 last year, highlighting a significant uptick in their popularity.

Another noteworthy mention is the sapphic pairing of Mira and Zoey from the K-Pop group HUNTR/X. This duo has gained traction since their introduction this year, racking up 1,831 fan works. The inclusion of such diverse pairings reflects the growing inclusivity within the K-Pop fandom.

In a historic first, the cross-group pairing of Saja Boys’ Jinu and HUNTR/X’s Rumi has ranked third among K-Pop ships and 30th overall with 3,103 fan works, demonstrating the expanding creative landscape of K-Pop fanfiction.

The polyamorous trio of Mira, Rumi, and Zoey from HUNTR/X is also making waves, coming in at second in K-Pop ships and 14th overall with 3,122 fan works. This trend of innovative pairings showcases the evolving narratives within the K-Pop community.
