UPDATE: The United States Postal Service (USPS) has confirmed that all post offices will be completely closed on February 16, 2026, in observance of Presidents Day. This means if you planned to ship mail or packages that day, you will need to adjust your plans.

URGENT DETAILS: USPS offices will not operate on February 16, and there will be no regular mail delivery services. The only exception is Priority Mail Express, which will remain available on the holiday. All USPS locations will resume normal business hours on February 17.

WHAT TO KNOW: Other major shipping companies will also be affected by the federal holiday. FedEx will not deliver standard mail on Presidents Day, although FedEx Express will follow a modified service schedule. Meanwhile, UPS branches will remain open, but deliveries via UPS SurePost and UPS Mail Innovations will experience an additional delay of one business day due to the holiday.

However, there is good news for online shoppers: Amazon will operate as usual, with no expected delays related to Presidents Day. Amazon typically suspends deliveries only on major holidays like Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

IMPACT ON CUSTOMERS: With USPS closed, customers are urged to plan accordingly for any important mailings. If you need to send letters or packages, make arrangements to do so before or after the holiday. The closure affects not just individual senders but also businesses relying on timely mail delivery.

WHAT’S NEXT: Keep an eye out for updates from USPS and other carriers as Presidents Day approaches. Ensure your shipping needs are met by planning ahead and exploring alternative options if necessary.

Stay informed about shipping schedules and delivery services to avoid any disruptions during this holiday.
