Urgent Warning: Trump’s 2026 Election Influence Raises Alarms
UPDATE: Constitutional lawyer David French has issued an urgent warning regarding former President Donald Trump’s potential plan to unlawfully influence the upcoming 2026 midterm elections. In a compelling op-ed published in The New York Times on July 15, 2023, French emphasizes that millions of Americans remain alarmingly complacent about the threats posed by Trump’s actions.
French argues that a president who disregards the law, commands a compliant Congress, and is supported by a radicalized base represents a significant threat to the integrity of future elections. “I fear that millions of citizens are still too complacent. They aren’t aware of the peril we face,” French warns, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
The lawyer draws parallels to the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot, which was fueled by Trump’s false claims of a “rigged” election. He points to recent troubling developments as indications of Trump’s strategy to manipulate electoral outcomes. Notably, the FBI’s recent raid on a Georgia election center has raised serious concerns, especially given the involvement of Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s former director of national intelligence.
French also underscores the implications of Trump’s mass deportation operations, which have been criticized for racially profiling suspects. He argues that such actions could suppress voter turnout by instilling fear among nonwhite Americans, deterring them from voting.
In his op-ed, French specifically addresses Trump’s continued propagation of falsehoods about the 2020 election, including unsubstantiated claims regarding foreign interference. “You may realize that Trump can unlawfully influence an election without explicitly rigging the count,” French warns. “By deterring his enemies from coming to the polls, he can engineer the outcomes he seeks.”
French’s call to action serves as a wake-up call for citizens. He states, “Consider this to be something like a fire drill. It’s an alarm, one of thousands that should be ringing across the country.” The alarm bells are sounding as Trump’s aggressive tactics are already intimidating voters, with French asserting that “another kind of theft might already be underway.”
This warning comes at a critical moment as the nation approaches the midterm elections. As the political landscape continues to shift, French’s insights compel Americans to pay close attention to the unfolding events and to remain vigilant against any attempts to undermine the democratic process.
As developments continue, observers are urged to monitor the situation closely. With the stakes higher than ever, the potential ramifications of Trump’s actions could reshape the electoral landscape in the coming years. Stay tuned for further updates.
