NAIOP Southern Nevada has appointed Jamie Schwartz as its new full-time executive director. This decision reflects the chapter’s commitment to adapt to evolving needs and long-term objectives within the commercial real estate sector. Steve Neiger, the chapter president for 2026, emphasized the importance of Schwartz’s leadership skills and relevant experience in enhancing the organization’s presence in government affairs and advocacy.

In her new role, Schwartz will collaborate with the chapter’s board of directors and the outgoing executive director, Katrina Bruce, who has managed the local chapter’s operations for the past 36 years. Bruce expressed enthusiasm about Schwartz’s appointment, stating, “This is a significant move for both Jamie and NAIOP. I’m looking forward to her leadership as we work together to shape the future evolution of the chapter.”

Schwartz’s previous role was as the director of business and industry engagement for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), within the Office of Economic Development. Her extensive experience includes working with developers, investors, local governments, and various stakeholders to align private capital with community and business economic development goals. As a lifelong resident of Southern Nevada, she has played a pivotal role in positioning the region competitively in the commercial real estate market.

A graduate of UNLV, Schwartz holds a master’s degree in business and finance. She has also been actively involved in the community, serving on the board of directors for SafeNest, an organization dedicated to addressing domestic and sexual violence.
