Actors from “Heated Rivalry” to Carry Olympic Torch in Milan
Milan will welcome two familiar faces as torchbearers during the lead-up to the Opening Ceremony of the Milan Cortina Olympics on February 6, 2026. Actors Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, known for their roles in the popular hockey romance series “Heated Rivalry,” have been selected to carry the Olympic flame. This announcement was made by the organizing committee on Thursday.
The inclusion of Williams and Storrie as torchbearers highlights the intersection of sports and entertainment, bringing added excitement to the Games. Both actors have garnered significant attention for their performances, and their involvement in the Olympic torch relay is expected to draw fans and media coverage alike.
The torch relay will traverse various locations in Italy leading up to the Opening Ceremony, symbolizing unity and international cooperation through sport. The Olympic flame will travel over 2,000 kilometers, passing through cities and towns before reaching its final destination in Milan.
Williams and Storrie expressed their enthusiasm about being part of such a historic event. In a shared statement, they remarked on the honor of representing their country and the importance of the Olympics in fostering a sense of community and spirit among nations.
This year’s Olympics, taking place in both Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, marks a significant occasion for Italy, as it will be the first time the country has hosted the Winter Games since 2006. The organizing committee aims to create an engaging atmosphere, combining sporting excellence with cultural celebrations throughout the event.
As the countdown to the Milan Cortina Olympics begins, the participation of Williams and Storrie in the torch relay serves as a reminder of the Games’ broader mission to inspire and connect individuals through shared experiences. The event promises to capture the hearts of many, both on and off the ice, as athletes from around the world converge to compete for Olympic glory.
