Alabama Boosts Offensive Line with Transfer of Nick Brooks

Alabama’s football program has enhanced its offensive line by acquiring former Texas Longhorns offensive tackle Nick Brooks through the NCAA transfer portal. Brooks announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide via social media on March 15, 2025, marking a significant addition to a team in need of depth along the line.

Standing at 6 feet 7 inches and weighing 349 pounds, Brooks brings substantial size and experience. During the previous season, he participated in five games for Texas, demonstrating versatility by playing as both a right tackle and a left guard. His college debut came against Sam Houston, and he continued to show his capabilities in key matchups against Oklahoma, Kentucky, and Mississippi State. With three seasons of eligibility remaining, Brooks aims to make a considerable impact in Tuscaloosa.

Brooks joins fellow transfer Racin Dalgatty, a former center from Cal Poly, as part of Alabama’s efforts to rebuild its offensive line.
