Hisense Unveils Game-Changing RGBY Tech for 2026 TVs at CES
UPDATE: Hisense has just revealed groundbreaking television technology at CES 2026, introducing innovative RGBY color performance that is set to redefine home viewing. The company’s new flagship LCD TV, dubbed the 116UXS, will feature a fourth color channel—cyan—enhancing the traditional red, green, and blue (RGB) setup, while an advanced Micro LED model will incorporate yellow, creating the RGBY color spectrum.
This revolutionary approach aims to elevate color vibrancy and purity, with Hisense claiming a color coverage of 110 percent of the BT.2020 wide color gamut commonly associated with HDR. The 116UXS, equipped with “tens of thousands of color dimming zones,” is positioned as the successor to last year’s 116UX, which launched at $25,000.
As consumers demand richer viewing experiences, Hisense is betting that more colors will deliver more impact. The upgraded Hi-View AI Engine RGB video processor and Dolby Vision 2 are additional features designed to enhance the visual performance of the 116UXS, which is set to hit the market soon after CES.
In a bold expansion of its true Micro LED technology, Hisense is also set to unveil the 163MX model, showcasing the new RGBY Micro LED system. This model will use self-emissive panel technology—where each sub-pixel is an individual LED—allowing for unprecedented color accuracy. While specifics on pricing have not yet been disclosed, last year’s $100,000 Micro LED launch indicates that this model will target the ultra-high-end market.
“Introducing a fourth sub-pixel helps overcome color limitations inherent in previous Micro LED designs,” a Hisense representative stated at the event. This innovative RGBY technology is expected to push the boundaries of what consumers can expect from home entertainment.
As excitement builds around these announcements, industry experts are eager to see how these advancements perform in real-world conditions. Hisense’s commitment to refining its technology suggests a promising future for its high-end TV offerings.
Stay tuned for further updates on product availability and pricing as more details emerge from CES 2026. The competition in the premium television market is heating up, and Hisense is making a compelling case for itself with its latest advancements.
For those looking to elevate their viewing experience, the next generation of Hisense TVs promises to deliver an extraordinary leap in color performance and overall picture quality. Share your thoughts on these developments and what you expect from the new models!
