William S. Ditmer, 80, Passes Away on Thanksgiving Morning

BREAKING NEWS: William S. Ditmer, aged 80, tragically passed away on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2025. Born in Carlisle, PA, Ditmer spent his last years in Connecticut, where he cherished time with his family and friends.

A devoted employee of Combustion Engineering in their logistics department, Ditmer’s health declined over the years, leading to his passing. Known for his passion for bowling, football, classic cars, and music, he was an active member of local bowling leagues at Bradley Bowl.

Ditmer is survived by his son John Ditmer and his wife Michelle, along with grandchildren Brian Ditmer and Christina Eargle. He is also survived by his sister Kathleen Ditmer, niece Michelle Ditmer, and great-nephew Jeffrey Ditmer. He was predeceased by brother John Arthur Ditmer, sister Wendy Ditmer, and his parents Brig, Bernard, and Freda Ditmer (Malpass).

A memorial service is scheduled for January 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Manchester Citadel Salvation Army Corps, located at 661 Main St, Manchester, CT. Burial will follow on January 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Kensico Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Ave, Valhalla, NY.
